The International Conference on Metallurgical Coatings and Thin Films (ICMCTF) includes topics on thin film deposition, characterization, and advanced surface engineering.

Gregory Abadias, a scientist from Universite de Poitiers who uses the kSA MOS for thin film stress measurement, will be a moderator for the session titled, “Advanced Characterization Techniques for Coatings, Thin Films, and Small Volumes”. Eric Chason of Brown University is scheduled to present a paper titled, “Kinetic Monte Carlo Simulations of Residual Stress Evolution”. He is one of the inventors of the MOS wafer curvature measurement technology, and he has contributed works to k-Space concerning the resolution and application of kSA MOS for thin film stress measurement.

Stop by the k-Space booth for the latest information on thin film metrology and the kSA MOS tool in particular.
