In-Line Metrology Solutions for Industrial Applications
Custom measurements and software integration. Measure and control uniformity, dimensions, surface characteristics and more.
For industrial applications, k-Space is known for its ability to provide robust data and analysis for in-line solutions in production environments. k-Space works side by side with the customer to understand their specific measurement and inspection needs, and then develops a custom solution to meet the identified requirements. Our solution includes custom measurement technology, software, database generation and integration, go/no go determination, pick and place, alarm status, and PLC communication.
k-Space focuses on non-contact, non-intrusive measurement techniques. Our probes are optically based, and our measurement sources are typically white light, filtered light, LEDs, or lasers. Our detectors are typically area cameras, line scan cameras, photodetectors, CMOS position-sensitive detectors (PSDs), and spectrometers. We have been manufacturing state-of-the-art metrology tools for 26 years.
Each custom metrology tool is developed utilizing our experienced staff of physicists, engineers, and software developers. We take pride in providing the best technical support and service in the metrology market. We support all our tools long after the measurements start on the factory floor.
Often k-Space is asked if we can integrate a metrology solution into an existing manufacturing environment. Typically, this requires one or more on-site visits to clearly define the requirements and limitations of the integrated system. Whether a system is built from scratch or integrated into existing manufacturing technology, k-Space always warranties its tools and provides unparalleled technical support. Installation and training is performed for every tool, and complete documentation (user manual, electrical and mechanical schematics, etc.) is provided.
k-Space is interested in providing metrology and inspection solutions for just about any production environment. Custom k-Space metrology tools are currently in use in the automotive, glass, solar, photovoltaic, and building products industries, to name a few. From clean room environments to dusty production floors, k-Space tools are robust and provide the information needed to improve efficiency, quality control and performance. k-Space has been a metrology innovator for over 25 years and holds multiple U.S. and international patents.
