k-Space is excited to announce that we have expanded into our newly finished second building. The grand opening of the new building, designated as the North Building, was on Oct. 30.

k-Space Expands into a Second Building

The North Building houses the production facilities for thin-film and industrial metrology, along with offices, a second conference room, and twelve 3D printers. The original building, the South Building, is the headquarters for the software, sales and marketing, engineering, and administrative departments. A new demonstration space is under development in the South Building to allow us to highlight some of our industrial metrology and machine vision capabilities. This will include a new “racetrack” closed loop conveyor system, along with vision and laser-based metrology for surface and dimension inspection.

Darryl Barlett, CEO of k-Space, states, “We’re very fortunate to have the need to expand into a 2nd building to allow for additional production capability, as well as to give us more room in our existing building for product development. This additional space will allow us to continue to expand and serve both the thin-film and industrial metrology markets, including glass, solar, automotive, and more general manufacturing sectors.”
