          kSA 400 - Support - Upgrade

To Upgrade You Need:

• Current software with Security Key

• A small registration file that must be generated for your Security Key
(contact technical support to purchase this file if you have not already received it.)

• The new software –
download is
password protected

 

In an effort to improve the ease of upgrading your kSA 400 software, we have placed the latest upgrade on our web site. Of course, if you would like the upgraded software on a CD, please technical support.

The new software (CD or download) requires a new registration file, and this registration file must be generated and sent separately because it is specific to your USB Security Key. Note the latest version of the software 5.0 is available for download

This download still enables customers to use the software on multiple computers (as long as the USB Security Key is present): once the software is installed and the new kSA 400 Registration File is entered, the upgraded software will operate as before.

Note that only one kSA 400 Registration File is required for each USB Security Key, and the Registration File only needs to be loaded once for each computer.

Please follow these steps to download and install your kSA 400 upgrade:

  1. If you have not already received a new kSA 400 Registration File (and download password) via email as a part of our one-year warranty update program, please contact technical support to purchase it. (If you have purchased an upgrade, you will get this email and registration file with your invoice.)
     
  2. When you have the download password and your new kSA 400 Registration File, download the software.
     
  3. Double-click the downloaded file to begin the installation process, following the prompts to upgrade the software.
     
  4. When the upgrade is complete, run the kSA 400 program.
     
  5. This will bring up the kSA 400 Registration Information dialog. Click the Browse button and open the kSA 400 Registration File that was sent to you.
     
  6. This will populate the fields in the kSA 400 Registration Information dialog. Click OK and your upgraded version of kSA 400 is ready to use.
