Job Opening:  Product Engineer

Description:    k-Space is seeking an energetic and personable engineer to join our team.  Responsibilities will include product installations, demonstrations, and troubleshooting.  The successful applicant will also work on current product improvements and new product development.  Approximately 60% travel, 40% on-site at k-Space (Ann Arbor/Dexter, MI).  Minimum of B.S./B.S.E. in engineering or B.A. in physical sciences.  Experience in thin-film deposition, optics, or optical monitoring a plus.  Very competitive salary and full benefits to the successful applicant. Job Opening:  Sales Engineer

Description:  k-Space is a leading supplier of advanced instrumentation and software for the surface science and thin-film technology industries.  We’re seeking an energetic and personable sales engineer to join our team.  Responsibilities will include fielding customer inquiries, targeted market sales, attending trade show conferences, and presenting our products and technology at customer sites.  Requires management and documentation of the entire sales process from customer’s initial inquiry to product satisfaction follow-up.

Minimum of B.S. in physics, materials science, or electrical engineering.  The successful applicant will possess a strong sales aptitude with outstanding written, oral, and presentation skills, standard computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and be able to travel up to 50% within North America.  2-3 years experience in capital equipment sales in a technical environment, or experience in thin-film deposition or semiconductor device fields a plus.  Knowledge of ACT! Contact Management software a plus.  We offer base salary plus commission, in addition to a generous package of employer-paid benefits. Job Opening:  Technical Writer

Description:  k-Space is seeking a technical writer to update and improve current product help manuals and installation guides.  Work to be compensated on a part-time or consultant basis.  Science/engineering background a plus.  Experience with RoboHelp™ or similar help authoring software required.  Successful applicant can work remotely but must make periodic visits to k-Space (Ann Arbor/Dexter, MI) for training and product functionality testing.
